LGBT Organizations on Other CampusesFlorida Rollins College, Winter Park: Spectrum was formally named Rollins Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender/sexual Alliance. While the name is new, the goals and aspirations for the organization are not. Spectrum is intended to be a safe haven for all LGBTQQIA students on campus- a place to socialize, get support, and have fun! It is also a place for allies, or straight students, to offer support and, of course, have fun too! Gay Straight Alliance at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University: The Gay Straight Alliance has been established in order to provide a support network for individuals interested in either learning about or discussing human sexuality; to promote tolerance and understanding for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and still exploring individuals, to promote diversity on campus & to enhance a feeling of safety and comfort for all students.
Kaleidoscope Gay/Straight Alliance, Stetson University, Deland: Kaleidoscope, Stetson's Gay/Straight Alliance, is a community based organization that actively pursues opportunities to promote acceptance, friendship, and partnership of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Straight communities. We work to create a supportive atmosphere for GLBTQ and allied students to discuss their feelings and thoughts about sexual orientation and gender identity. Through education and awareness initiatives, we hope to reduce anti-gay violence, harassment, and discrimination by promoting a greater understanding between students, school administration, and the local Deland community Pride Student Union, University of Florida, Gainesville: Pride Student Union (PSU) or "Pride," strives to provide and maintain an open, safe, and inclusive atmosphere for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersexed, allied, asexual, and pansexual (LGBTQQIAAP) students at the University of Florida. We are a social, educational, and support organization.
